So I checked out the list of books that I will be reading for my Modern Fiction class in the fall and got a total nerd boner!! The list consist of:

- Miss Lonelyhearts & The Day of the Locust, by Nathanael West

- Leaf Storm, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

- The Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka

- Winter’s Tales, by Isak Dinesen

- Demian, by Hermann Hesse

- The Bloody Chamber, by Angela Carter

- Invisible Cities, by Italo Calvino

I read Metamorphosis last summer and couldn’t understand the hype, but I’m happy to give it another chance. Invisible Cities, Demian and The Bloody Chamber I have been dying to read so the fact that they’re on this list is awesome! The other books sound really interesting too. I’ve got a feeling his class is going to be the jam!
